Date Honey Banana Shake


This energy dense calcium and iron rich shake is a great way to start your day. If you are hungry and not in a mood to cook you will get all the nutrients with one serving of this revitalizer.

Cooking Time: 5 minutes 

Yield: 1 glass


Ingredients:

  • 1/4 cup dates (khajur) deseeded 
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/2 banana 
  • 1 tbsp honey 
  • 4 to 6 ice cubes


Instructions: 

  1. Heat the milk in a broad non-stick pan, add the dates and cook on a medium flame for 1 to 2 minutes.
  2. Soak the dates in the milk for 10 to 15 minutes till the dates soften and the milk is cold. Keep aside.
  3. Combine the date-milk mixture, banana and honey along with ice-cubes and blend in a mixer till smooth.
  4.  Serve immediately.
